Summary
Performs and monitors echocardiogram (cardiac ultrasound) procedures.
Calculates, measures, and documents appropriate values on the tests performed for review and interpretation by physicians.
Communicates with physicians, managers, and co-workers as appropriate about changes in patient s clinical conditions while undergoing echocardiogram. Occasional local travel the locations below. required.
Qualifications:
EducationRequired: HS Diploma/GED and completion of an Associate's degree in Cardiovascular Technology or graduate of an accredited school of Ultrasonography.
ExperienceRequired: 6 months in clinical setting
Preferred: 2 years
CertificationsRequired: Registry eligible and BLS.
Preferred: RDMS or RDCS
Registered with American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS). Licensing: Current state certification, licensure or license eligible in states where applicable. Current CPR certification.
